Today, I called the Phila police again. This time the operator said I could report on the phone if I worked with the local precinct.
I called.
They took the report.
It took ten minutes.
Tonight I will drop the bike off at BikeLine of Lancaster to see if it is "totalled".

Last time I had to report an incident, I marched into the nearest station (bike and all) and asked to make a report. The constable behind the counter demurred - too much paperwork, couldn't be bothered.
ReplyDeleteA sergeant was walking past - I hailed her, told her what I wanted to do and watched as she gave the constable a right bollocking for refusing to take my statement.
