Yesterday we officially became the foster parents of Jacari Waddell. The adoption could take up to another year before the paperwork is completed. In the meantime, Jacari will be with us.
Our family now has five last names for seven people.

That's nothing, I know some people who have no idea who their daddy is, so they have 5 last names just to cover all the possibilities...

I know the adoption process feels like it takes forever, but considering the lifelong impact you and your wife will have with these children, in helping them grow, and learn, and all the memories you will create together as a family over decades, it's just a drop in time.
